As I reflect on 2021, I’m overcome with gratitude for our team of dedicated boatbuilders, customers, dealers, vendors and community. We really mean it when we say we love building boats with friends who share our passion for building the best and we exist to support our customers time on the water. That makes all we have accomplished this year even more special. Here’s just a snap shot.
- We celebrated Boston BoatWorks’ 25th year in business on Boston Harbor! Building the best high-performing yachts in the world and providing service, repair and boat storage for Boston’s recreational and light commercial feet. We also launched our 340th boat and are now the largest recreational marine manufacturer in Massachusetts.
- We were chosen to be the exclusive builder of the Barton and Gray Mariners’ Club Daychaser 48 fleet! This is a really exciting transition for us as we embark on building a fleet that represents the future for both boating and for Boston BoatWorks. Call me (207-252-7190) for more information. We’re booking production slots out into 2023 for new boat deliveries!
- We are finalizing the plans to build the first electric launch for the Appalachian Mountain Club, designed by Zurn Yacht Design and Mark Lindsay, and optimized by BAR Technologies, specialists in super-efficient hull forms. The 21st century running surface and silent propulsion will be masked by a lovely traditional deckhouse and sheer, perfect for carrying AMC members to the off-grid Three Mile Island camp! We are planning to build this boat in 2022.
- During a time of increasingly difficult supply chain issues, we have maintained our production schedule thanks to our decades long relationships with our amazing, collaborative suppliers and the tireless coordination of our expert Supply Chain and Purchasing Team who continue to work with our vendors to stockpile materials.
So, as 2021 comes to a close, I say this from our family to yours, “Happy Holidays and thank you for building boats with us!”
2022 is going to be even better!
